Information
The
area and terrain
The fly fishing trips we offer are pack in on horse back into the Rocky
Mountain Wilderness. Everything you take must be packed on our mules
for transportation. Base camp is usually a 12 to 15 mile ride. There
will be shorter rides to reach fishing areas throughout your stay.
The elevation of these areas are often 12,000 feet or more. We limit
the number of people to 2 per trip.
When
can you go?
The window of time that we can access these high mountain areas
is small. So, a trip must be planned for late July to mid-August.
There is always a possibility of thunder storms or even snow flurries
in this remote high area.
License
fees
A resident fishing license is $20.25 per year. For residents 64
years and older the cost is $10.25. Non-resident fishing license
is $40.25 per year. A five day license is $18.25, a one day license
is $5.25. Please note that the $.25 fee on each license goes to
the Colorado Search and Rescue fund.
